Often we focus in Elul on what we did wrong,
sometimes we need to focus on what we didn’t do,
sometimes we need to promise to do more,
not to do "better" at what we already know
let those familiar things turn numb.
Restore I/Me/Us/We to our natural state.
Remind I/Me/Us/We that all we actually do is vibrate.

Here I am; cringing as I attempt to flip my perspective upside down. As I turn the self-criticism dial to the right, and wonder would it would look like to spend the last few moments of Elul thinking about love instead.
There is a little whisper within you. It speaks discreetly, yet yearns to be heard.
Elevation is a choice. There is so much that we can "upcycle" and use to help us serve G-d better. I'm not saying you have to, but you can.
We would never fix the brakes on our cars without help, yet we routinely assume we can fix the far more complicated brakes on our thoughts, speech and deeds.
Some of us build our lives on the wreckage left behind. We make a sturdy space to walk. We cast out for sustenance. And we grow.
Oh emoji, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways. I love emoji for the same reason I love dance. It gives me a way to communicate when words fail me, which they do, often.
