Too often, we wait quietly on the sidelines as injustice happens all around us. The people who act first, no matter how flawed, deserve our support.
So many of us millenials are angry, frustrated, and disillusioned by the current generation of Jewish leaders. What can we do with those emotions?
We are all leaders, ready to shine our light through the thick darkness. So to my fellow revolutionaries I say: this is not just about abuse, sex, or power- there’s more.
I’m lonely for a real leader. I’m surrounded by charismatic pulpit Rabbis, authors, lecturers, Halachic geniuses and community activists-- yet something is missing. I don’t feel like there’s anyone out there fighting for me.
A call to action, to my fellow educators.
