Rocky & The Goldstein: “Remember” – The Hevria Sessions

I haven’t ridden a bike in, let’s say, 7-15 years, maybe more. But, apperently riding a bike is very much like riding a bike. Ultimately, when I get back on that bike, I may or may not be able to remember how to ride it. I may retrace the memories of my father chasing after me as I frantically rode down those quiet Long Island streets so long ago. But, as I said before, I may not.

In short, it’s good to remember what bears remembering, and it’s best not to dwell on that which should be forgotten.

Remember – Lyrics

Remember
Not long ago
When everything
You thought you should’ve known
Had often come to change
Each false expectation
Rearranged

And as those clouds
Move away
And the night returns to day
And the strong winds blow
Pass on through the
Darkest skies
Oh, remember if you can
For tonight

Home, home again
A place you have always called a friend
A place you’ve known so well
But now and then
It’s gettin’ hard to tell

[sc name="ad-300x600"]

Though it seems like long ago
When the best of years
Were left behind
To a place you couldn’t go
To a time you didn’t know
That the darkest hour
Was bound to
Come and go

And now
You can’t pretend
To wait upon a fortune that will mend
No matter where you’ll roam
The fortune you’ve forgotten
Was your own

And as those clouds move away
And the night returns to day
And the strong winds blow
Pass on through the darkest skies
Oh, remember if you can for tonight

* Since this video was filmed, I have continued to work on this song and the lyrics have evolved into what you see above.
